Look Your Best in Ankle Boots

Do Balance Out Black Boots with Black Jacket

Sometimes black booties look harsh with short dresses in light colors, but by adding a black leather jacket to a sparkly dress this look balances itself out.

Don't Wear Ankle Boots with Full, Long Skirts

The proportion of an ankle boot with a mid-calf, full skirt is all wrong: ankle boots look best as part of a leggy look, either with short skirt, skinny jeans or leggings.

Do Wear Boots with Tights

One of the easiest ways to wear ankle boots is to pair black shoes with black tights (and a black dress if you really want to go monochromatic.) The look is flattering for most women and most cuts of ankle boots.

Don't Mistake Ankle Boots for Formal Wear

While ankle boots and cocktail dresses may be cool and trendy, clunky ankle boots will never replace refined pumps or strappy sandals for black-tie events.

Do Go Bare-Legged

Even if your legs aren't tan, the overall look of bare legs and ankle boots is hard to beat.

Don't Wear Excessively Furry or Fringed Ankle Boots

Some pizazz on the ankle boot is fine; but bundles of fuzz that look like wild mammals are eating your feet are not so cute.

Do Tuck Skinny Jeans into Ankle Boots

Slim bottoms -- like skinny jeans and leggings -- are a natural for ankle boots. Just slip these tight-fitting bottoms into the top of ankle boots for a sleek look.

Don't Wear Taller Ankle Boots with Longer Skirts

In general, the taller the shaft of the ankle boot, the shorter the skirt should be. Wearing a knee-length skirt with a taller ankle boot visually shortens the leg and gives you a chopped-off look.

Furry Nice

Invest in a fur coat, it's this season's instant glamour hit

  • Shaggy cuts and shrug-on styles give this winter's furs - both real and fake - a laidback, rock 'n' roll edge.
  • Fur is this season's instant glamour hit and nothing will keep you warmer.
  • Faux fur is a big story - when Karl Lagerfeld reworks synthetic skins (in miniskirts, boots and floor-sweeping coats), the become a lot more desirable.
  • Balmain and Cavalli's versions were youthful and distinctly
    rock 'n' roll.

Women snow boots

When snow starts to fall from the sky different thoughts go through our minds. You may think of Winter Sports, inconvenient driving, shoveling, or just beautiful scenes. About half the population is thinking: “What do I have to wear?”

No matter what the season, women want footwear that looks good. In the winter, they also want footwear that keeps them warm and dry. But when you are buying women’s snow boots, there is no reason to sacrifice fashion for form.
Buying boots needs to involve both a practical and an impulsive side. Just like you should never food shop when you are hungry, you should never shop for boots when all you are primarily thinking about how they look. Think about how you will feel climbing about up a set of icy steps or walking down a subzero street with a wind whipping around.

Think about a freezing rain or trekking through snow banks. If all of this is part of your winter, then make sure you buy some women’s snow boots that will keep you cozy. Now that you have taken care of your practical side, what are you going to do to make sure you look good no matter what the weather is. There are as many ways to do this as there are snowflake patterns. The Australian ugg style boot has become popular because it is so comfortable.

For winter, you should buy a pair with soles and a fleece lining. Maybe you want something a little more formal, or just something that will help you stand out in the crowd. Try something in a knee high with a faux lining that will keep you dry and warm. You can get leather, suede, or synthetic style if it works for you. You will find a women’s snow boot that fits your style.

Depending on wear you live or what you do, you may want to consider a lace style boot.If you are in a professional environment, you don’t want to arrive looking like you are headed out to the Yukon. The weather may be cold, but you still want to look professional. But if you feel more comfortable or if you are headed for the slopes, get yourself a sturdy pair of boots. They should have insulation and waterproofing to protect your feet. There is nothing worse than starting out the day with miserable Weather .

Stay warm and snug but keep your fashion sense in a pair of women’s snow boots.
